The story that follows was written by Agustin Blazquez with the collaboration of Jaums Sutton and deals with Robert Redfords Cuban connection which predates his involvement with the movie "The Company You Keep". Redford and his Sundance organization have been closely associated with George Soros for quite some time now and their combined projects are always left leaning anti US. Please read below;
REDFORD’S FOOLISH LOVE AFFAIR © ABIP 2004
by Agustin Blazquez with the collaboration of Jaums Sutton
Some time ago Hollywood luminary Robert Redford was asked about the Cuban regime and he said something to the effect that he didn't care about Castro's politics. To the victims, that's like saying that you don't care about Hitler or Stalin's crimes.
After his 1988 visit to Cuba, Redford was interrogated by U.S. Treasury Department agents. At that time it was said that he went to scuba dive with his friend, Fidel Castro.
In letters from a former admirer of Redford in Cuba dated 1987, 1990 and 1991, I see the rage progression against Redford for his friendliness toward Castro and insensitivity of the suffering of the Cuban people.
Many are baffled and disappointed that despite his long-time connections with Cuba, he has failed to acknowledge the obvious. He seems content to take from Cuba and his relations with Castro just what is beneficial to his career and personal enjoyment. Which Castro obviously finds beneficial to his personal goals as well. Mr. Redford has yet to publicly recognize his error, apologize for offending Cubans, denounce or even express dissatisfaction with any aspect of Castro's criminal regime.
If he ever did, I hope he won’t try to use that tired, old “art is separate from politics”, which Castro himself obliterated long ago with one of his mantras: “Within the Revolution, everything, against the Revolution, nothing!”
Redford has traveled to Cuba as Castro's guest for many years. As a foreigner he has privileges denied to ordinary Cuban citizens for decades. He has stayed in "elite only" Fifth Avenue in Miramar, in a luxury house next to the mansion Castro gave to Colombian writer Gabriel Garcia Marquez, an infamous-to-Cubans collaborator. For Garcia Marquez's services, Castro lavishes him with maids and a black Mercedes-Benz 280 similar to the one Castro uses. Garcia Marquez founded a film school near Havana where Redford has taught.
As in the regimes of Hitler and Stalin, all independent artists in Cuba who refuse to comply with Castro's cultural policies are imprisoned or confined to psychiatric wards. Redford, billed as a "key supporter of independent filmmaking," fails to see that there is no independent film making in Cuba except that which protects Castro's image and policies.
Take the film “Strawberry and Chocolate,” which Redford distributed and promoted in the U.S. some years ago. Curiously, its promotion ads failed to mention that it was a Cuban film in Spanish. Not so curiously, the film gives the false impression that persecution of homosexuals in Cuba has been reduced.
For years, Redford's films have been shown in Cuban theaters and on TV (most of the time raping the artistic creation by cutting off parts deemed dangerous to Castro’s regime), however, Castro doesn't pay copyright fees and greedy but left-wing Hollywood doesn’t complain about it. Why is it acceptable to Redford for Castro to cut his films?
Redford and his Sundance Institute have been an item in the annual Havana film festival for years. On December 1997, he was the announced head of the Hollywood delegation, though he didn't show up. Instead, he sent Hollywood director John Sayles to represent his institute and bring his warm regards to the regime along with the film “Lone Star.”
In the 2004 Sundance Film Festival, Redford, who is the executive producer, exhibited Walter Salles’ film “The Motorcycle Diaries.” It is based on the personal diary of another notorious criminal in the history of Castro’s revolution, Ernesto “Che” Guevara, when he was 23 years old and traveling through South America by motorcycle.
Lets not overlook that it was Che, in the Sierra Maestra Mountains of Cuba, years before Castro took over the country in 1959, who revealed his fascination with cruelty by asking to be the executioner who kept the troops in line.
At the onset of the revolution on January 1, 1959, Castro appointed Che in charge of La Cabana fortress in Havana. There, execution squads flourished under Che’s command, assassinating in mass, those perceived as enemies of the revolution.
Che ordered that women and children visiting his prisoners be paraded in front of the execution wall, gruesomely stained with blood and brain parts. All of this was well publicized in Cuba in order to spread fear throughout the population. The surviving ex-prisoners of the infamous La Cabana fortress remember Che as a “mass murderer.” Inexplicably, he is now a hero and an icon in the eyes of the American left.
Paradoxically, Castro, a darling of Hollywood and the American left, wanted to get rid of Che all along and in 1965 he sent him to “liberate” Africa, but he failed to do so and he secretly returned to Cuba and was kept out of the limelight.
To prevent Che from becoming a distraction to Castro’s own popularity, he needed to get rid of him, though with great care, but all of his attempts to get Che involved in international wars of “liberation” and get him killed and converted into a martyr had failed.
Finally he sent him to Bolivia where, denounced by the peasants and Indians in the region (who never supported his intrusion), Che and his guerrillas were finally apprehended by the Bolivian army on October 7, 1967. As we all know Che was executed and Castro at last had converted his potential distraction to the martyr of the revolution he was longing for. His amputated hand is proudly displayed in the Museum of the Revolution in Havana.
Out of Castro’s way, the cruel and inept Che could be heralded now as a big hero. Finally, Castro was free to create an international legendary myth. Che’s image flooded Cuba and posters began to appear in the domain of the academic left: colleges and universities of the U.S. and the free world in order to attract the romantics and uninformed. As with much communist misinformation, it worked! We still have fools displaying posters and wearing Che junk. All highly offensive to Cubans, but who cares about their feelings?
And now Robert Redford, always loyal to Castro and the false icons of his revolution, is running to Havana with a copy of his newly released film about Che, the wonderful role model to show it to his widow, Aleida March, so she can “enjoy” his posthumous tribute to a criminal.
Redford, called a "champion of environmental causes," closes his eyes when dealing with Castro who created the Che Guevara Brigade, which used military tanks, heavy chains and explosives to raze entire forests across Cuba. Millions of trees and species of animals dependent upon their shelter have become extinct due to Castro's whims. Caves have been transformed into army depots, filled with arms, explosives and chemical products, thereby altering their natural ecosystems to the detriment of their flora and fauna.
Dead livestock, agricultural and industrial wastes and other dangerous pollutants are routinely dumped into caves, sinkholes, rivers and the sea. Havana harbor is heavily polluted by oil, as are other beaches nearby and parts of the “foreigners only” Varadero beach resort. The constant, pungent stench of oil and sulfur permeates the entire area. Ordinary citizens suffer from all kinds of respiratory and cancerous diseases as a result of Castro's environmental disregard. Castro, his elite and foreigners like Redford are kept in exclusive areas far removed from danger.
Cubans are not denying Redford's artistic talent. The issue is his moral judgment in relation to a regime they know profoundly well.
And when the Castro nightmare is finally over, Cubans, just as the Jews, will build their Holocaust Museum for others to see and to assure that no other Castros will rise again. In the museum's Hall of Collaborators, among others, there will be a special place for Robert Redford.

Robert Redfords new project, "The Company You Keep"
By: Larry D Grathwohl
An open statement to those involved in the production of Robert Redford's movie, "The Company You Keep".
It is currently being reported in many of the Hollywood and Cinema blogs (http://www.theblaze.com/stories/not-ready-upcoming-weather-underground-movie-to-show-real-americans-who-stood-for-their-beliefs-not-ready/ that Robert Redford is going to make a movie about the Weather Underground. According to the information being provided such familiar names as Susan Sarandon, Julie Christie, Nick Nolte and Robert Redford himself are to star in this movie based on a novel by Neil Gordon titled, " The Company You Keep".
The story is about an individual named Jason Sinai who participated in a bank robbery, which goes wrong, (I thought all bank robberies were wrong) that took place in 1974 and after 30 years his cover has been blown by a reporter who is trying to make a name for himself. In order to protect his family this terrorist fugitive must flee his home and family and take to the road where he is forced to make contact with former members of the Weather Underground and other terrorist organizations of that era.
It's interesting to note the very close similarities between the story Neil Gordon has woven into his novel and the bombings and other criminal acts committed by the Weather Underground during the late 60s and the early 70s. Kathy Boudin and David Gilbert, as an example, were members of the Weather Underground who together with members of the black liberation Army robbed a Brinks truck in New Jersey and a guard and two police officers were murdered. According to Bill Ayers, Bernadine Dohrn was the person who placed the bomb at the Park police station in San Francisco that resulted in the death of Sgt. Brian McDonnell and yet they continue to claim that the Weather Underground NEVER killed or harmed anyone. It is also important to remember the numerous bombings such as the capital bombing, the New York City police headquarters and the Pentagon just to name a few.
Today Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dorn claim that the Weather Underground never harmed anyone that their only purpose in the use of violence was to end the war in Vietnam. Now it appears that Robert Redford's going to make a movie that not only downplays the acts of terrorism committed by this group but also makes them appear to be heroes and good Americans. Such phrases as, “a sweeping American saga about sacrifice”, “using violent action and inflammatory rhetoric to protest the Vietnam War and various other social issues” are examples of this movies depiction of the Weather Undergrounds domestic acts of terrorism against life and property. Somehow these terrorists and murderers are transformed into, "real Americans who stood for their beliefs…… defending their countries ideals". In one chapter a character named Benjamin Schukberg, who happens to be a reporter, begins a rant in justification of the violence involved in the Weather Undergrounds violent activities. One comment this reporter states in regards to the protest against the Vietnam War, "people say stop its implacable. The State? It’s beating you up and putting you in jail, and it doesn't listen to any explanations." This statement ignores the fact that many of those protesters of that time were attacking people and property and in many instances it was impossible to discern their goals as their violence destroyed their message. In another instance Benjamin continues, "just imagine the choice, on one hand, between this jowly, unhealthy, vile, lying son of b___h Nixon with his horrid little sidekicks, and on the other hand, this vast movement throughout the country were people are not just getting laid, and getting high, and listening to find music, and having fun, but to boot, they’re right!" I find this amazing, with a total condemnation of Pres. Nixon while making it sound as if the tuned in, dropped out generation wasn't in the streets attacking anything and everything in their path but were just trying to have fun with sex, dope fine music. Later, as Benjamin continues his rant he says, "The fact is, Weather (referring to the Weather Underground) was making a last-ditch protest against the government that refused to obey the Constitution, and McVeigh was protesting a government for obeying the Constitution. Right? All Weather was saying was that this government has to follow what the Constitution says." This is simply not true as the Weather Underground made several statements declaring war on the United States and its people, met with many of the enemies of the United States and called for the total destruction of what they referred to as US imperialism.
Below I have listed Whether Underground bombings and activities beginning in 1969 through 1981:
Weather Underground Attacks & Activities

6 March 1974 - Bombing of the Dept. of Health, Education and Welfare offices in San Francisco
31 May 1974 - Bombing of The Office of the California Attorney General.
17 June 1974 - Bombing of Gulf Oil’s Pittsburgh headquarters.
11 September 1974 – Bombing of Anaconda Corporation (part of the Rockefeller Corporation).

16 June 1975 - Bombing of Banco de Ponce (a Puerto Rican bank) in New York.
September, 1975 – Bombing of the Kennecott Corporation.
October 20, 1981 - Brinks robbery in which several members of the Weather Underground and the Black Liberation Army stole over $1 million from a Brinks armored car near Nyack, New York. The robbers murdered 2 police officers and 1 Brinks guard. Several others were wounded.
I think this speaks to the antiwar position claimed by the Weather Underground and people such as Bill Ayres and Bernadine Dorn. Their violent activities cannot be disputed in their claims that they never injured or killed anyone are simply lies in for Mr. Redford to glorify this group of terrorist traitors is beyond comprehension and shouldn't be allowed to happen.
I have made several attempts to contact Mr. Redford in an effort to enlighten him as to what the Weather Undergrounds real purposes and goals were during that time. So far my efforts have failed and while I realize that this movie is based on a novel it is still utilizing the real criminal acts committed by individuals who comprise the membership of the Weather Underground. Bernadine Dohrn in her first communication from the Weather Underground stated,”THIS IS A DECLARATION OF WAR AGAINST THE UNITED STATES”. I sat in meetings with many members of the Weather Underground, including Bill Ayers, and discussed plans to bomb places and buildings with the sole purpose of causing as much death and destruction as possible. The Weather Underground wasn't trying to end the war in Vietnam but rather to bring the war home to the United States. Their avowed purpose was clearly stated in many communiqués throughout the years and that was to overthrow the government of the United States and create a communist or socialist society for the people of this country. If necessary they were ready and willing to kill as many as 25 million people in order to achieve their goal.
It's hard to believe that someone who is made their fortune entertaining America has forgotten the trauma and the fear the Weather Underground created 40 years ago. How Robert Redford can allow himself to be used in such a way that people like Bill Ayres, who has stated that his only regret is that they didn't do enough, is now to be changed from an unrepentant domestic terrorist to a good American in a dedicated patriot.

Soros-funded Media and the Glorification of the Weather Underground
By Larry D Grathwohl
October 27, 2011
It is currently being reported in many of the Hollywood and Cinema blogs that Robert Redford is going to make a movie about the Weather Underground. Such familiar names as Susan Sarandon, Julie Christie, Nick Nolte and Robert Redford himself are reportedly being considered for starring roles in this movie based on a novel by Neil Gordon titled, "The Company You Keep." It seems clear that this is an attempt to portray a communist terrorist group, the Weather Underground, in a positive light. As such, it fits into the agenda of billionaire George Soros, who has given a public platform or even grants to such Weather Underground figures as Bernardine Dohrn and Linda Evans.
It is important to note that Robert Redford’s Sundance Institute has received $5 million from the George Soros-funded Open Society Institute. A release at the time of this grant declared that, “The Sundance Institute will receive a $5 million grant for its Documentary Film Program to help raise awareness on human rights…” Soros henchman Aryeh Neier was quoted as saying, “Films can play a powerful role in inspiring action on human rights, justice, accountability, and other open society issues. The Sundance Institute’s work helps filmmakers shed light on the most pressing challenges of our time.”
So we must conclude that this film, now in the making, will highlight the so-called human rights of terrorists and their protectors. That, too, represents the bizarre mind-set of George Soros and Aryeh Neier, who have dedicated their lives to making it impossible for law enforcement to use undercover operatives and informants in order to disrupt or destroy terrorist organizations.
First, a note about myself: I joined the Army in October of 1964. I became a paratrooper in 1965 and was assigned to the 2/502 Infantry of the 101st Airborne Division in April. By July, I along with the First Brigade was sent to South Vietnam. I was 17 years old and I believed that we were there to save the people of South Vietnam from communism and North Vietnamese dominance. The Second Battalion of the 502nd Infantry received two Presidential Unit Citations while I was assigned to the unit. One citation was for an action at Ah Ninh in September of 1965 and the other for an action during operation Hawthorn in May of 1966. This is unprecedented as no unit has been cited twice in less than a year. When I returned from Vietnam I became a Drill Instructor at Fort Knox Kentucky. I extended my service for nine months and was honorably discharged in July of 1968. I had no idea that another fight of an unexpected kind was just one year in the future.
In 1969, while attending the University of Cincinnati I encountered members of what was then known as the Weatherman faction of the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS). At first I was inclined to pay little attention to them and to dismiss them as being violence prone and crazy. Later I would meet two of these individuals who were distributing literature and asking if we were "going to the National Action in Chicago to get the pigs." Again, I was inclined to dismiss them and even made a remark that if they wanted to get the pigs there was lots of them in Cincinnati and they didn't have to go to Chicago to accomplish that. I read the literature they had given me and became more concerned that this group of lunatics actually meant to do what they said they were going to do "attack the city of Chicago." I went to the Cincinnati Police Department and inform them of the individuals I had encountered and their plans for the city of Chicago. I also provided the police with the literature that I had received at that meeting. I was asked by the Cincinnati Police Department to attend the meetings I had been invited to and to provide whatever information I could regarding the plans the Weatherman had for the National Action which is what they called their planned attack on Chicago. I agreed to do so and little did I anticipate that I would become the only source of information that went underground with the Weatherman at the end of the year. Mark Rudd even acknowledges this fact in his book, "Underground" on page 202, "Still, Grathwohl was the only known infiltrator ever exposed in the Weatherman organization". He further states, "Had there been others, the government certainly would have used them to bust us in the years after 1970".
My decision to infiltrate the Weatherman Organization was based, more than anything, on their propensity to violence. I found, even in the earliest meetings, that these people were terrorists planning for a direct confrontation with authority of any kind and that their ultimate goal was to destroy the United States and the imposition of totalitarian socialism. From the time of my first meetings and the preparation for the National Action the Weatherman's intentions were evident. We would meet at Eden Park in Cincinnati and practice karate and working together in four man infinity groups. The intention was to prepare us for an assault on the city of Chicago and it was stated time and again, "if the pigs don't attack us then we will attack them". There was no way for me to interpret this activity and these statements as anything other than intentional violence. The Weatherman intended to do exactly what they said they were going to do and they did resulting in Richard Elrod’s being paralyzed from the neck down -- not to mention the extensive damage done to property of all types.
When the Weatherman returned to Cincinnati after the National Action they contacted me and I again began to attend meetings and my infiltration of the organization began. At this point I went to the FBI believing they were better equipped to deal with an organization such as the Weatherman. There were meetings and activities that I had to attend as I rose through the ranks. In one instance I was tested when LSD was passed out and then I underwent a criticism and self-criticism session that was meant to determine if I was really committed to the Weatherman. This is referred to in Mark Rudd's book as the, "Acid Test" (page 202) and I can say that it was very intense and lasted several hours. I did not take the acid and in the end responded in the appropriate manner as I was then fully accepted as a dedicated and committed revolutionary or more appropriately a Terrorist. It was then that I was asked to move into the collective and to work full-time as a Weatherman.
I can tell you that it was an abnormal existence with little if any personal hygiene and cleanliness. Most of the time the apartments were cold as the utilities had been turned off. Sometimes we went for several days without eating as the collective had little money. Meetings and strategy sessions were held every day and attendance was mandatory. It was simply an ugly way to live but the Weathermen thought they were rejecting everything “middle class,” never considering the affect this behavior was having on their ability to accomplish their goal of becoming revolutionaries and domestic terrorists. Later, when the group went underground this would be recognized and the lifestyle changed.
The fact that I was able to infiltrate this terrorist organization becomes important when considering that I was the only one to successfully do so. The Weather Underground, as they came to be known, was significantly affected on April 15, 1970 when I facilitated the arrests of Linda Evans and Dionne Donghi. Apparently Mark Rudd was supposed to be at the same meeting and unfortunately the FBI just missed arresting him. On that day I was also arrested in an effort to maintain my cover and credibility with the Weatherman. I knew that this was going to blow my cover and I attempted to convince the FBI that this was not the time to arrest these people. I believed, and Mark Rudd confirms this, that given more time I would have been able to affect the arrest of more Weathermen and to possibly bring the organization to its knees. My attempts were ignored and I was told that the decision to make this arrest had been made at the highest level -- meaning J Edgar Hoover. I can say now, as I did then, that this arrest was a mistake and that a little more time would have resulted in greater rewards.
With that background, you can now understand how outraged I am over the planned Weather Underground film being planned by Robert Redford and his Soros-funded backers.
The story they are using is about an individual named Jason Sinai who participated in a bank robbery, which goes wrong, (I thought all bank robberies were wrong) that took place in 1974 and after 30 years his cover has been blown by a reporter who is trying to make a name for himself. In order to protect his family, this terrorist fugitive must flee his home and family and take to the road where he is forced to make contact with former members of the Weather Underground and other terrorist organizations of that era.
It's interesting to note the very close similarities between the story Neil Gordon has woven into his novel and the bombings and other criminal acts committed by the Weather Underground during the late 60s and the early 70s. Kathy Boudin and David Gilbert were members of the Weather Underground who together with members of the Black Liberation Army robbed a Brinks truck in New Jersey and a guard and two police officers were murdered. According to Bill Ayers, Bernadine Dohrn was the person who placed the bomb at the Park police station in San Francisco in 1970 that resulted in the death of Police Sgt. Brian McDonnell and yet they continue to claim that the Weather Underground NEVER killed or harmed anyone. It is also important to remember the numerous other bombings that took place, including the New York City police headquarters, the U.S. Capitol, and the Pentagon.
It appears that Robert Redford is going to make a movie that not only downplays the acts of terrorism committed by this group but also makes them appear to be heroes and good Americans. Such phrases as, “a sweeping American saga about sacrifice”, “using violent action and inflammatory rhetoric to protest the Vietnam war and various other social issues” are examples of this movie’s planned depiction of the Weather Underground and its acts of terrorism against life and property. Somehow these terrorists and murderers are transformed into, "real Americans who stood for their beliefs…… defending their countries ideals.”
In one chapter a character named Benjamin Schukberg, who happens to be a reporter, begins a rant in justification of the violence involved in the Weather Underground’s violent activities. One comment this reporter states in regards to the protests against the Vietnam War that “the state” is “beating you up and putting you in jail and it doesn't listen to any explanations." This statement ignores the fact that many of those protesters of that time were attacking people and property. Violence was their message. In another instance Benjamin continues, "just imagine the choice, on one hand, between this jowly, unhealthy, vile, lying son of b___h Nixon with his horrid little sidekicks, and on the other hand, this vast movement throughout the country where people are not just getting laid, and getting high, and listening to find music, and having fun, but to boot, they’re right!"
I find this statement amazing, with a total condemnation of President Nixon while making it sound as if the tuned-in, dropped-out generation wasn't in the streets attacking anything and everything in their path but were just trying to have fun with sex, dope and fine music.
Later, as Benjamin continues his rant, he says, "The fact is, Weather (referring to the Weather Underground) was making a last-ditch protest against the government that refused to obey the Constitution, and McVeigh (who blew up the Federal building in Oklahoma City) was protesting a government for obeying the Constitution. Right? All Weather was saying was that this government has to follow what the Constitution says." This is simply not true as the Weather Underground made several statements declaring war on the United States and its people, met with many of the enemies of the United States and called for the total destruction of what they referred to as U.S. imperialism.
Their violent activities cannot be disputed and their claims that they never injured or killed anyone are simply lies. For Mr. Redford to glorify this group of terrorist traitors is beyond comprehension and shouldn't be allowed to happen.
I have made several attempts to contact Mr. Redford in an effort to enlighten him as to what the Weather Undergrounds real purposes and goals were during that time. So far my efforts have failed and while I realize that this movie is based on a novel it is still utilizing the real criminal acts committed by individuals who comprised the membership of the Weather Underground.
How Robert Redford can allow himself to be used in such a way is a disgrace. Bill Ayers, who has stated that his only regret is that they didn't do enough, is now to be changed from an unrepentant domestic terrorist to a good American, courtesy of Hollywood and George Soros.
We must expose this dastardly attempt at filmmaking and highlight the political agenda of Soros-funded groups which are still working to undermine our law enforcement agencies. The Weather Underground could not have existed without the support of organizations such as the National Lawyers Guild, a Communist Party front organization. Today, the NLG and its sister organization, the Center for Constitutional Rights, actively work to undermine our intelligence and police agencies. They provide legal and other support to the “Occupy Wall Street” protesters.
We need more, not less, informants in these groups, and I wish to salute Brandon Darby for breaking with his left-wing comrades and working for the FBI inside one of the anarchist organizations caught planning violence for the 2008 Republican National Convention. I know what he is up against.
After my experience working with the FBI and after testifying before the Senate and three Federal Grand Juries as well as the trial of Mark felt and Ed Miller I was subjected to threats and accusations regarding my activities with the FBI and my personal character. On a Wanted Poster, found by an FBI agent in Berkeley California, I was wanted, "For Crimes against the People.” Additionally it was stated that, "Grathwohl has been identified by weatherwoman Linda Evans as a pig infiltrator. Busted in New York with Linda he was immediately released on OR. He has lived in collectives in New York, New Haven, and Cincinnati. Thursday morning he turned up in Berkeley." Also included on the wanted poster was the following statement, "Caution: this man is dangerous. He advocated the use of explosives and firearms and is known to be a heavy user of speed". Of course this wanted poster has a picture of me taken at the time of the arrest of Linda Evans and Dionne Donghi and notice that I have also been accused of being a drug user.
Later an article would appear in the same newspaper claiming that I was a heavy user of "Reds". I have no idea what Reds are in the drug world but I can only tell you that I carried around cinnamon candies in a plastic bag and asked people if they wanted some Reds. I was addicted to this candy and still am. I'll eat a whole bag of them in one setting and now try to keep them out of my reach.
There was also an article that appeared in an underground newspaper called "The Berkeley Tribe, August 1970" which occupied two pages and is titled," Unsettled Accounts". Underneath this headline it stated, "Larry Grathwohl is one of the most dangerous police agents ever to infiltrate the American revolutionary movement."
The substance of the article is extremely negative, ending with, "Agents like Larry Grathwohl are viciously f__ked up. The only thing we can want is to have them wiped out like the poisonous viper's they are - without leaving them or the Government that controls them the smallest chance to strike back."
I believe that this can leave little doubt as to what these people wanted to see happen to me. The truth didn't matter. The only important facts were that I tried to prevent Weatherman violence and the death and injury of many innocent people.
Not only do we need the ability of the FBI and police agencies to infiltrate these groups, I encourage the House and the Senate to create new congressional committees to investigate potential terrorist organizations nationally and internationally, and to provide advice and direction to federal and local law enforcement agencies. That means the House and Senate should re-establish committees or subcommittees on internal security and un-American activities.
I believe that every citizen of the United States has the right to free speech and assembly. I also believe that when these individuals plan and prepare violent attacks on individuals, government buildings and property, that is no longer a constitutionally protected privilege. It is breaking the law and threatening the lives of innocent people.
The U.S. Government has an obligation to provide for the common defense. Every political figure swears an oath to protect our Constitution and the people from enemies, foreign and domestic. It is time for Congress to do its job.
The Congress can begin by investigating Obama Administration links to the “Occupy Wall Street” movement and related mobs, which include assorted Marxists, communists, socialists and anarchists. Let this be a teaching moment as to how the violence of the 1960s and 70s that I witnessed first-hand can return with a vengeance. Let us hope that we act and stop this madness before it is too late.

Bringing Bernardine Dohrn & Bill Ayers to Justice
Statement of Larry Grathwohl
National Press Club June 28, 2011
In 1999 the Phoenix task force was set up by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. It was comprised of representatives from the San Francisco Police Department, attorneys from the San Francisco District Attorney's Office, investigators from the California Bureau of Investigation, the office of Attorney General for the state of California, the office of the United States Atty. Gen. from Northern California, retired FBI agents who had worked the Weatherman cases during the late 60s and early 70s, and current FBI agents who were to act as a liaison between the San Francisco FBI office in the task force. The focus of this task force was to investigate the murders of several San Francisco police officers who were killed during this time period. It was believed that advances in the forensic sciences would allow new evidence to be developed in such cases, particularly the Park police station bombing that involved the Weather Underground.
Recently this task force has been reduced to a skeleton of its former self. The number of staff assigned to the task force is reduced to possibly one or two individuals who work part-time. The investigation of the Park police station bombing is no longer being vigorously pursued and the task force is being allowed to slowly slip into oblivion. This does not mean that the individuals who worked on the task force have given up; it simply means that their superiors have made a conscious decision to allow the task force to go out of business. Lieut. Joe Engler, who was in charge of the task force most recently, has been promoted and transferred to the Tenderloin police station while still being on record as being in charge of the Phoenix Task Force. How Lieut. Engler can be assigned full-time to the Tenderloin police station while still being in charge of the Phoenix Task Force is difficult for me to comprehend. Also, when I have attempted to call the numbers that are supposed to be assigned to the Phoenix Task Force, I get no answers.
The one significant success of the task force was bringing to justice eight members of the Black Liberation Army who were involved in the shooting at the Ingleside police station that resulted in the death of Sgt. Young. This case was developed while the task force was pursuing the individuals involved in the Park police station bombing. The attack on the Ingleside station occurred on the night of August 29, 1971. It began when a young white woman whose description matched that of Weather Underground and BLA member Marilyn Buck entered the Ingleside police station looked around, and left. Shortly thereafter a BLA member attempted to fire a LAU rocket through the front door but was unsuccessful. Fortunately the individual attempting to fire the rocket did not know how to extend the tube and release the safeties in order to be able to use the weapon. The rocket requires several steps to extend the tube, arm the rocket and release the safeties. It’s a good thing that the individual lacked the training to know how to properly use the weapon. This did not however dissuade at least seven members of the BLA from entering the police station with weapons that included a 12-gauge shotgun which was used to murder Sgt. Young.
It's important to reiterate that Marilyn Buck was a member of the Weather Underground working with members of the Black Liberation Army. This is in keeping with the weatherman's attempt to link its activities with that of other radical terrorist groups active in the United States at that time.
Of the eight individuals charged in the attack on the Ingleside police station, only two were sentenced and that was probation and time served. The charges were dropped against five other individuals and the only one remaining is Francisco Torres, who maintains he is innocent. Needless to say, the one success that the Phoenix Task Force can claim is dubious at best -- with only two individuals sentenced for the murder of Sgt. Young having agreed to plea to a lesser charge of voluntary manslaughter and conspiracy to voluntary manslaughter. This is the outcome of having plotted the attack on the Ingleside police station and the murder of a police officer with a 12gauge shotgun.
As might be expected, all of those implicated in the attack on the Ingleside police station claim to have been tortured by the police with the use of electric shock, cattle prods, beatings, sensory deprivation and wet blankets used for asphyxiation. Herman Bell and Jalil Muntaqim pleaded to lesser charges but still claim that they are political prisoners and should be released immediately. Wasn't there a time when murdering a police officer was something to be avoided at all costs? It no longer appears that way, at least for those who are involved in domestic terrorism here in the United States.
As I have testified and stated before, I was told by Bill Ayers in February of 1970 that Bernardine Dorn was the main perpetrator of the bombing of the Park Police Station which resulted in the death of Sgt. Brian V. McDonnell. This bombing bears significant similarities to the planned bombing of the Detroit police officers Association building and 13th precinct in that city in Feb, 1970. Having infiltrated the Weather Underground, I was involved in the planning of these bombings. Bill Ayers gave specific instructions on how the bomb was to be built and when and where it was to be placed. This included the use of fence nails and staples to act as shrapnel, that the bomb was to be place during a shift change, and that it would be placed on a window ledge. All of these so-called coincidences are the same as what occurred at the Park Station in February of 1970. These bombs failed to detonate; otherwise several deaths would have occurred as was clearly emphasized by Bill Ayers during the planning sessions for these actions.
The reasons given for the closing of the Phoenix Task Force include the alleged lack of new evidence in the Park Station bombing. However, former FBI agent Max Noel, who worked the Weatherman case, has made it clear that all of the evidence has not been reviewed by the task force. In discussions Max had with members of the task force and others, including myself, he stated that evidence collected from the Weatherman's Pine Street bomb factory has not been reviewed and has probably not even been requested from the FBI’s archives. Max asked one investigator if he had looked at the lab report from the materials collected at the Pine Street bomb factory and the response was negative. This lab report includes detailed information regarding the tools, wire, timing devices and other bomb making materials that possibly could have been compared to the remnants of the bomb that was detonated at the Park police station. Latex gloves were also found and while developing fingerprints from inside of this material was impossible in the early 70s we know that it is easily accomplished in today's laboratories. There is also the possibility of DNA residue existing inside these gloves which could also be explored if retrieved from the FBI storage centers but this will only be done when and if the Phoenix Task Force requests these materials.
In exploring why the people who are now in charge of the Phoenix Task Force have decided to allow these investigations to end, I have attempted to contact the San Francisco district attorney and the San Francisco Chief of Police to no avail. After several attempts and after leaving several messages I decided that these individuals did not want to comment on why the task force was being allowed to slowly fade away. Keep in mind that on paper the Phoenix Task Force still exists. But when I contacted Capt. Mike Beil, who is/was directly in charge of the Phoenix Task Force, he referred me back to Lieut. Joe Engler who stated that he, “could make no comment” and he offered no explanation beyond that. I am curious as to why it cannot simply be stated that a determination has been made to allow the task force to come to an end. If the belief is that new evidence is truly unavailable then why not state that this is the situation and close the task force down? Such a conclusion, however, would be false, because new evidence could be gleaned from a fresh examination of the old evidence.
As we know, President Obama’s first fund raiser was held in the living room of Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dorn's home when he ran for the State Senate in Illinois. It has also been alleged that Ayers wrote the Obama book, Dreams from My Father. Eric Holder, the Attorney General of the United States, was instrumental in helping to free Weather Underground members Susan Rosenberg and Linda Evans during the Clinton administration. Is it possible that the demise of the Phoenix Task Force is somehow being influenced by the friendship that exists between Bill Ayers, Bernadine Dorn and President Obama? Could Eric Holder be influencing the release of information and evidence the FBI collected in the Pine Street bomb factory in 1971? Certainly these are legitimate questions when considering that the task force has basically gone out of existence.
The Weather Underground came into existence with the avowed purpose of overthrowing the government. Contrary to the position taken today by ex-members of this terrorist organization, their purpose was not against the war in Vietnam but rather was to bring the war home. Many instances exist in verbal and written communications of this intention and purpose in the commitment of the Weathermen.
Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dorn claim that the Weathermen were merely an anti-war group and that their purpose was never to harm or kill anyone. However, the evidence found in the Pine Street bomb factory definitely indicates otherwise. One of the devices discovered was a voice activated detonator, which means someone would have had to be within voice range in order to activate the device. Nails and heavy metal staples were also discovered; again meant to be used as shrapnel in bombs they were building. Shrapnel has only one purpose and that is to kill, injure and maim human beings. Along with explosives, tools and other hardware for use in the building of bombs the FBI failed to find any anti-war literature. However, they found a library of Marxist-Leninist propaganda. If all the Weathermen wanted to do was stop the war in Vietnam, why wasn't there literature in the apartment attesting to that fact? I would also ask Bill and Bernadine to explain why the Weathermen continued their acts of terrorism long after the war was over. I think it is obvious that their purpose was to bring the war home. That is why Bernadine stated at the “National War Council” meeting in Flint, Michigan that the way to accomplish this was to go home and kill your parents. It’s also why Mark Rudd, another founder of the Weathermen, states in his book that he approved of the plan to place bombs at a dance at Ft. Dix in order to kill as many soldiers as possible.
Interestingly the Weathermen utilized the Venceremos brigade, which they played a significant role in creating with the assistance of the Cuban DGI, to send members of the organization to Cuba where they were trained in domestic terrorism, political propaganda and other necessities of the urban guerrilla terrorist. The Venceremos brigades still exist today and it is noteworthy that while its purpose is supposedly to help the Cubans harvest sugarcane, in fact certain members are taken out of the group were they receive this training. This organization, the Venceremos brigade, represents the domestic terrorists continued ties to communist Cuba and the hope and intent of the communist regime to bring terror to the United States. It is also interesting to note that while
President Obama is considering the total lifting of travel restrictions to Cuba, terrorist fugitives from the United States continue to live there openly with no fear of extradition. One example of this is Joanne Chesimard, who escaped from prison with the help of the Weathermen. Chesimard was convicted of murdering a police officer and now lives freely and openly in communist Cuba. The really important message here is that the Venceremos brigade, which has been in existence since the late 60s, is still sending individuals to Cuba to be indoctrinated and train in terrorist activities. I believe that Chesimard, who now goes by the name Assata Shakur, is in Cuba to help train selected members of the Venceremos brigade who continue to travel there under the pretense of chopping sugar cane or “educational” missions.
It is important to note that Chesimard is not the only fugitive who is taken refuge in Cuba. Currently it is estimated that there are at least 70 individuals who are fugitives from United States justice and who are under the protection of the Castro regime. Some of these individuals were part of the terrorism that devastated the United States during the late 60s and into the 70s and even 80s. I think it is safe to conclude that these individuals have no love for the United States and no doubt are eager to participate in the indoctrination and training of future terrorists who come to Cuba as part of the Venceremos brigades.
Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dorn are presently active collaborators with the organization, "Code Pink," which, as we know, was instrumental in attempting to run the blockade of Gaza last year. This attempt resulted in the death and injury of members of the Israeli Defense force and individuals who were aboard the ships attempting to run the blockade. Code Pink has planned another attempt to run the blockade and no doubt the results will be the same. The purpose of these confrontations is to put the Israelis on the defensive and to force them to take extreme measures to defend themselves and to enforce the blockade. What possible purpose could justify the involvement of Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dorn in this attempt to infiltrate Gaza and cause this confrontation with the Israeli Defense forces? Interestingly the so-called, "Arab Spring" has spread to almost every country in the Middle East and has become extremely violent, while the hatred and the avowed goal of destroying Israel has remained the same. Why President Obama supports this so-called Arab Spring is incomprehensible and flies in the face of the long-established support and close relationship that exists between the United States and Israel.
In October of last year I urged the new Congress to create a committee or subcommittee to investigate the internal security of the United States. As indicated in Paul Kengor’s book, Dupes, the congressional committees can play an important role by getting people who are involved in terrorist activities on the record under oath. By investigating the activities of terrorists, their support groups and networks, such a committee could disrupt and possibly stop another attack on the United States such as 9/11. This should be a bipartisan effort involving both Democrats and Republicans. Our national security and the safety of every citizen of this nation should be the top priority of every representative in the United States Congress and Senate. Given the fact that the goals set forth by the Weathermen have not changed, it is my opinion that some of the domestic terrorists of this era are still active and intent upon bringing the war home and ultimately the destruction of our government and our way of life.
Now is the time for our government to act. Time is running out. The American way of life is in jeopardy from enemies internal and external. Action must be taken before it’s too late!

Bringing Bernardine Dohrn and Bill Ayers to Justice
Young.

Weatherman Movie
I've added a link to the Weatherman Movie which I thought you all might find interesting. It's the usual BS but it provides some insight to their thinking.
